styles. Our
Just Gravy was formed by Ed Wilbers
and Chris Cusentino. We've added legendary guitarist Harold Kennedy
and drummer Art Davis to give us that bite and groove that
only these two can provide. Come and check us out to hear that Just Gravy
sound. Here is a little info about each member:
Chris,
known rightly as "Fuzzy Cuz", has been playing music in the
Cincinnati area for 12 years. Like any true gig-pig he plays a
variety of music styles including Bluegrass, Cajun, Country, Blues and
Rock- working with Katie Laur; Jake Speed; the Comet Bluegrass
All-Stars; the Turkeys; and many other local bands. He is a
staple of the music scene in Covington, KY, his hair is naturally
curly, and -yes ladies- he's single.
t
Ed Wilbers Jr. emerged into the rock scene as a tambourine player in
the band Double Vision. He is a native of Northern Kentucky
where he has been playing the piano and B3 since he first starting
looking for chicks. Ed's funky style compliments the tight rhythm
section and helps coin that Just Gravy sound.
Our drummer, ART DAVIS, is the newest member of Just Gravy and adds a
tight punch to our sound that is guaranteed to get you on the dance
floor as well as some mean vocals. He was born in Chillicothe,
OH and began playing at age 12 behind chicken-wire stages with a note
from his mother. He left on the road after high school to pursue
Rock n' Roll fame and Macaroni and cheese. He's been featured
vocally on many "Classic" radio and tv jingles for
"JTM", "Wendy's, White Castle (see the frozen meat
trend here?) and many others. His past bands among others
include: Dick Mackey Band, Stagger Lee, Kelly Red Band, and the
Cincinnati Shakers. Welcome aboard the Gravy Train, Art.
Harold Kennedy is the most famous member of the band
and is as great of a guy as he is a guitar player. A native of
Splunge, Mississippi, Harold began his 31 year career at the age
of 13, playing banjo with local bluegrass groups throughout the
Mississippi/Alabama area. He has a professional back ground
including touring with many big names such as Montgomery Gentry and
Hank Williams III. You won't find this guy playing in the
basement of a bowling alley any more. His vast experience,
unmatched guitar work, and his love for playing makes him a very
valuable member of Just Gravy. Check him out at www.haroldkennedy.com.
The myth, the man, the legend, this is our Tour
Manager, Gravy himself. His real name is Gravy but he often goes
by Marc McGarvey and can be found around town in various drinking
establishments always trying to scout possible Just Gravy
venues. He's spent years trying to get us a gig at the Greyhound
Tavern and Saddle Club of Ft. Mitchell. He helps the band with
booking, jukebox management, and green room food testing. He
also does a mean impression of a drunk guy that stands in front of the
band yelling absurd requests. The band couldn't survive with out
his good advice and hard work.
